ZENITH ZC 5.7 is a spin-focused OFF+ handmade table tennis blade in the Palatinus ZC series — a 7-ply build (5 wood + 2 PBO-Carbon) for offensive players who rely on touch, placement and controlled power.
Its Limba outer ply and top-boosted soft PBO-Carbon provide a connected feel, while the 5.7 mm construction increases dwell time and supports confident spin-oriented play.
Meet the ZENITH ZC 5.7, the more flexible version within the ZENITH line, with an OFF+ speed rating — for offensive players who seek a balanced relationship between speed, spin and finesse.
Construction & technology
The ZENITH ZC 5.7 is a 7-ply blade: five wood plies and two soft PBO-Carbon layers, with the composite top-boosted directly beneath a Limba outer ply. The Limba surface already gives a softer, more refined contact than Koto; the thinner 5.7 mm body adds to that, increasing flex, elasticity and dwell time. Together they create a responsive, connected blade that lets the player shape the ball with confidence, while the top-boosted composite keeps the energy transfer efficient when power is applied.
Playing character
This is the most touch-oriented of the ZENITH pair. It is especially well suited to spin-oriented rallies, precise placement and controlled offensive transitions — from measured opening loops to confident drives and well-placed finishing shots. The soft Limba contact and longer dwell make it forgiving and communicative, without losing the offensive direction of the line.
A refined Jun Mizutani alternative
For players familiar with Butterfly Jun Mizutani-type blades or similar Limba outer composite blades, the ZENITH ZC 5.7 offers a handmade alternative in a comparable speed category — keeping the modern offensive direction, but adding more dwell time, a softer contact feel and the individual feedback of a hand-tuned Palatinus blade.
With its softer response and refined feedback, the ZENITH ZC 5.7 offers a composed, connected and highly playable offensive character within the Palatinus ZC series.
