Natural wood should still feel like wood

The handle is the part of your blade in constant contact with your hand. During play, unprotected wood gradually absorbs sweat, skin oils and dirt. Over time this darkens the handle and changes its feel. Sweat can also soak into the side edges of the throat, where the open plies of the blade meet your fingers.

Palatinus Natural Handle Wax works differently from a conventional surface coating. Its oils penetrate the open pore structure of the wood, while the waxes remain close to the surface to protect it. Once the excess is wiped away, the handle feels smooth, dry and natural, with no film between your hand and the wood.

By protecting the handle and the side edges of the throat from sweat, regular care helps extend the life of your blade.

How to apply

1. Make sure the handle and the throat edges are clean and completely dry.
2. Take a very small amount of wax with the supplied applicator pad.
3. Work it firmly into the handle and the side edges of the throat in a thin, even layer, following the grain. Less is more: more wax does not mean more protection.
4. Leave it on the wood for at least 1 hour.
5. Wipe off thoroughly with a clean, dry cloth or paper towel until no excess remains and the surface feels completely dry. 
   Do not polish to a shine.

The finished handle should feel like natural wood, not like a wax coating.

Keep the wax away from the blade faces where the rubbers are glued.

When to reapply

Simply renew the treatment when needed: when the handle begins to look dry, feels less protected, or starts to lose its grip. 
How often depends on your playing time and perspiration.

Made from 100% natural ingredients: natural waxes, plant-derived oils and natural resin. 
Developed and handmade in our workshop in Hungary, specifically for the care of premium table tennis blade handles.

Contents: 30 ml tin with applicator pad

Storage: Keep the tin tightly closed when not in use. Store at room temperature, away from heat and direct sunlight.
