Construction & technology

The ZENITH ZC 5.7 is a 7-ply blade: five wood plies and two soft PBO-Carbon layers, with the composite top-boosted directly beneath a Limba outer ply. The Limba surface already gives a softer, more refined contact than Koto; the thinner 5.7 mm body adds to that, increasing flex, elasticity and dwell time. Together they create a responsive, connected blade that lets the player shape the ball with confidence, while the top-boosted composite keeps the energy transfer efficient when power is applied.

Playing character

This is the most touch-oriented of the ZENITH pair. It is especially well suited to spin-oriented rallies, precise placement and controlled offensive transitions — from measured opening loops to confident drives and well-placed finishing shots. The soft Limba contact and longer dwell make it forgiving and communicative, without losing the offensive direction of the line.

A refined Jun Mizutani alternative

For players familiar with Butterfly Jun Mizutani-type blades or similar Limba outer composite blades, the ZENITH ZC 5.7 offers a handmade alternative in a comparable speed category — keeping the modern offensive direction, but adding more dwell time, a softer contact feel and the individual feedback of a hand-tuned Palatinus blade.
